Before and After – Bournemouth Landslide

I took the before photograph on 5th March whilst walking from Bournemouth pier to Boscombe pier. The East Cliff Lift and everything was working just fine.

I took the after photograph on the 29th April, and you can clearly see the result of the landslide which happened in the early hours of the morning of 24th April 2016.

Luckily no one was hurt in the land slip and the event could have been a lot worse, especially happening right next to the East Cliff Lift and yards away from the road and the Jon Egging Memorial.

It is incredibly fascinating seeing the two photographs together. Hopefully the tonnes of rubble which collapsed with the landslide will not continue to slip when the clean up process starts. One thing is for sure, nature is very unpredictable!

Let me know your thoughts!
