Hidden Abandoned House in Sandbanks, Poole

On Panorama Road in Sandbanks, Poole you will find an abandoned house, hidden from the road and overgrown with the beauty of nature.

From the road, its near enough invisible. We only came across the house by complete accident, but what an awesome accidental find!

Heading down an alleyway just after the Motor Yacht Club, we notice the first house on the corner was also abandoned, boarded up and fenced off.

We were exploring the little pathways around Sandbanks, trying to find a nice little spot to chill and watch the sunset when we came across a large plot of land which was overgrown, it looks like a little forest-like garden and it wasn’t until we were on our way back that we notice a little blue door catching our attention in the middle of an overgrown bush.

Obviously, we went to have a little peek, we poked our heads through the door window, and what we discovered was surprisingly intriguing.

The little house with the blue door looked like it has been abandoned and deserted for some time. The windows are boarded up and the ceiling is practically non-existent but the part I loved the most, was how the overgrown garden surrounding the house has been growing inside.

The vines wrapped around the partly collapsed ceiling and started growing throughout the house, along the floor to create this secret house garden.

The house looked like it was suddenly deserted, apart from the destruction, some elements of this house still exists..

The bamboo themed wallpaper still covers the walls, the bathroom had air freshener and face cream on top of the toilet and the kitchen still had a cooker, which was the oldest cooker I have ever seen.

This little Sandbanks house, hidden away and overtaken by beauty of nature is something I never expected to find, but I’m glad that little blue door made an appearance through the vines.
