Airbnb: Paris – Eiffel Tower View

When a trip to Paris came into the works, I knew that Airbnb was the way to go.

One, with Airbnb you get to live like a local and two, it is relativity cheap.

When I crossed this apartment for £99 per night, I booked it pretty much instantly. I had no idea what to expect and even though the reviews were positive, you never really know what you are getting until you arrive, unlike chain hotels, which I always try to avoid.

When we arrived; hot, stressed and exhausted after spending 4 1/2 hours of the night on the airport floor, to a 5:30AM flight then an hour train followed by a three hour detoured walk to collect Paris Passes, then giving up and trying to figure out the metro with our heavy luggage and in the end getting a taxi.

Philippe, the host was waiting for us when we arrived and he was lovely. Took us straight into the apartment block and in the very, very cosy lift before arriving on the top floor.

The Room

The room is a studio but is equipped with everything you need and is exactly how i imagined it to be. Visiting Paris, you need nothing more than place to rest your head, but what we got was a very comfortable room in the perfect location.

Sofa Bed | Internet | TV | Essentials | Wifi | Elevator | Iron | Hairdryer | Hob | Fridge

The View

I could not describe the feeling of having the Eiffel Tower right outside the window. One of the most famous landmarks in the world and we had our very own personal view.

The Location

The location was better than perfect, I timed a whole 32 seconds from the Eiffel Tower to the front door of the apartment – what more could you want!?

The apartment is also very close to some authentic, local restaurants and cafes and there is a small food shop located 2 minutes away or a larger one up the road, around a 10 minute walk.

When we stayed here, we seriously felt like we were living the Parisian life with our own personal view of the Eiffel Tower.

We fell in love with Paris so much that we were planning our next trip before our last day and both agreed that a trip to Paris would not be the same unless we got to stay in this apartment, because after 5 days, it really felt like home.

I would definitely stay here again.
