Street Art in Dubai

Along and through the streets of Dubai, I found the occasional piece of street art. Most of these murals are located in JBR, Dubai.

Each year, Dubai holds a Canvas Festival, which is held along a 2km strip where artists from all over the world create their murals and masterpieces in a bid to win the very generous cash prize. The festival reflects the character and diversity of Dubai and attracts huge crowds, wanting to catch a glimpse of the 3D wall murals, floor murals, optical illusion paintings and tape art.

Dubai’s Ruler Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum is a strong supporter of creative ideas and is continuing to transform the city’s art scene.

Even though I did not attend The Dubai Canvas Festival as it normally runs for two weeks in March; I at least was able to grab a taster of the talent and observe these beautiful and very detailed pieces of art.

Let me know your thoughts!
