Where do I even begin? Corfe Castle is located in between Wareham and Swanage in Dorset. The iconic castle has been in ruins since 1645 when it was demolished on Parliament’s orders. It is now owned by The National Trust.
To enter the ruins, there is a fee of £8.50 (for an adult on off-peak season), however, if you are like me and saving the pennies; you can take a short and peaceful walk along the river which is flowing alongside the castle as you can see below. It will take you straight into the village where you can grab a bite to eat or visit The National Trust or local shops.
I would definitely recommend a visit.. It is one of Britain’s most iconic castle after all!
I’ve added the link to the National Trust website which offers more information on pricing, travel and opening times.
