Now that January is out the way and everything is back to normal, I can start to think about where I want this year to go.
I avoid setting myself a New Year’s resolution because that always goes out the window. Instead, I’ve decided to make a list and set myself yearly goals.
Not a bucket list as such, because the list would be never ending. Just a few goals which would definitely be achievable if I set my mind to it.
So come the 1st January 2018, I will look back on this post and would like to say that I’ve completed the list.
✽ Give without receiving. Volunteer, help, give back something and not expect anything in return
✽ Read a book a month
✽ Sign up for 5k – 10k runs throughout the summer
✽ Get back on my longboard
✽ Work on a project and complete it
✽ Eat healthier and find the ‘balance’
✽ Learn something new
(I’m half way to this one already, after booking in a few surfing lessons for the end of Feb!)
✽ Take more care and pride
✽ Spend more time with my family
✽ Visit new places
✽ Make at least one person smile everyday
✽ Give more compliments
✽ Be more in the moment and less distracted
✽ Be happy
